  • IH had an exciting range of new designs for both the North American and European markets planned for the second half of the 1980s. The Case merger basically killed this whole project. Great to see this piece of history survives today! Regards from Australia

  • I was working at a IH dealer in the fall of 84,we were told that IH was coming out with a new tractor that had a powershift trans & only 1 door in the cab. This is what they were planning.Just to show to that the Magnum tractor was IH,not case design.

  • cab and tranny is ih, look at the rest of a magnum, mostly all case design. Hoods are similar, side panels are same and dash is case as well, 94 series dash was in magnums, own a magnum and 94 series case, love em both

  • The production Magnum had a case hood, the dash was similar to IH 50 series tractors.I was just making a point that it was an IH designed tractor. There are case guys that say Magnums were their design, but that's not correct.Park a 50 series IH beside a Magnum & there are lots of similarities.

  • Let's see some more pictures! The cab, closer pics of the side panels, engine, transmission, the rear end, etc.

  • This picture and others have been around the internet for several years now. It was great to see a piece of history still around. If I remember right, this tractor was discussed on the Red Power boards. I have the picture for the other side of the tractor on my other computer, I'm sorry I can't post it right now.

  • It doesn't have Powershift.
